And for my NEXT trick

I used to be very creative. Read: USED TO be. *forlorn sigh* To venture onto Etsy is to only kick my creative ego while it's already down. Thank goodness for other people and their patterns!!!

This is really more for me than you but if you get anything out of it then awesome!!!

This is essentially a wish list in progress of items that I hope to someday make:

Koala granny square pattern that I would LOVE to make into a blanket. Crochetroo - your work is so awesome!

When I actually complete my 1st amigurumi, this sweet little mermaid is at the top of my list for dolls that I want to do. I LOVE her!!! Owlishly - your work is incredible!

Elephants are SO awesome and my favorite animals right up there with giraffes. Jaravee - It's only a matter of time until I'm getting this pattern from you!

Introductions are in order

I used to be very crafty and artsy. I would spend a minimum of 4 hours a day painting on giant canvases and turning my apartment into my own private art gallery. I would create counted cross stitch patterns of whimsical little designs that I would stitch onto afghans and things. I would mold and shape little bits of clay into miniature four course meals and personalized Christmas tree ornaments. I would sew custom designed water bottle holders with nifty pockets for snacks and things and giant teepees for my nieces and nephews to camp out in. I had all the time in the world to be creative!!!

Then I went and got married and had a baby.

:-p

Don't get me wrong, I l-o-v-e-LOVE my husband and my daughter. But I strongly dislike the fact that I no longer have time to be creative (unless you count the various things that I do to run my portrait and wedding photography business - and I don't think that counts).

My point is that if I don't get and keep my creative juices flowing, I'm going to be dry pretty soon!!! And I don't want that to happen. And despite the fact that I don't have time to devote to yet ANOTHER blog (I already have four others going!!!), welcome to my attempt to waking the creative muses that used to inspire me.

I'm going to start with crocheting soft toys for my daughter and hopefully that will segue itself into me returning to painting (at least).

Wish me luck!
